The National Honor Society is designed to honor those students that are not only strong academically but are good leaders, active in the school and community, and of strong character. Northome is proud to sponsor both a Senior National Honor Society for students in grades 10 – 12 and a Junior National Honor Society for students in grades 7-9.

The Northome Chapter sponsors several activities throughout the year. We offer babysitting services for the parent-teacher conferences and other events as requested.  We sponsor the district spelling bee. Each spring we hold a walk for Cystic Fibrosis. We also sponsor a booth at the spring carnival.

In 2017, Northome School joined the Minnesota Association of Honor Societies. The MAHS is designed to honor those students that are not only strong academically but are good leaders, active in the school and community, and of strong character. The MAHS sponsors a senior high honor society (MHS) for grades 10 – 12. They also provide for a MJrHS (junior high) group for students in grades 7 – 9. The junior high group will work with the senior high group to promote the pillars represented by the MAHS/MJrHS.
