Northome School’s Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) program collaborates with Kootasca Head Start in providing a mixed delivery pre-kindergarten program to serve children ages 3 to 5 years old before September 1^st of the current year.

VPK is a high-quality publicly funded prekindergarten program designed to prepare eligible 4-year old children for success as they enter kindergarten the following year. VPK uses play-based learning, coordinated transitions to kindergarten and family-centered program planning to create high-quality early learning opportunities that meet the needs of each child.
