End of 1st Semester is January 17th. There is no school on January 20th for MLK Jr. Day. Winter Homecoming week is Jan 27-31. AIPAC meeting will be held 1/15 in the Library.

Welcome to Northome School
As a community member, and Director of the DAC I truly appreciate all the opportunities Northome School gives our clients and staff to participate in their community.
The teachers at Northome School are the most caring people I know. Mr. Schneider the science teacher and track coach is nice and encouraging and always ready to help you become the best you.
Building positive relationships with students and families is a must. Northome School goes above and beyond to make sure that happens.

We like to play Name-That-Tune on Friday announcements here at Northome School. each homeroom/grade level gets to guess the song and artist for points. Every once in a while we have a side-quest to get some bonus points for your team. Today's side quest involved having at least 5 students from your class doing the dances made famous in the song. Moving forward, South Koochiching-Rainy River school district #363 school board meetings will be held each month on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. This is a change from the previous schedule of the 2nd Wednesday of each month. The meetings will remain at 7pm.
The next school board meeting will be held on February 19th, 2025 at 7pm in the Northome School library.

Our elementary classes went caroling this morning around Island Lake and Northome. Then they walked out into the outdoor classroom for some winter fun. S’mores are the best when shared with friends!

Grades 7-12 competed in the annual Northome School Lumberjack Games. They had to saw logs, complete an obstacle course, draw Santa, cut a snowflake, smooshing and Movie trivia. They had s'mores and hot cocoa afterward while scores were tallied. Congratulations to the Boujee Misfit Toys for the win!
